
Dr. Michael D. Vaardahl
After receiving a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in history from University of CA, Irvine, Dr. Vaardahl worked in the biotech industry in Southern CA. He moved to Miami, Florida to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry. It was there he was drawn to the field of foot and ankle surgery and continued his medical education at Barry University.
Dr. Vaardahl completed a three year podiatric surgical residency at South Miami Hospital encompassing all aspects of foot and ankle deformities, trauma, advanced wound care training, and sports medicine. He has additional training in the Ponseti technique to address club foot deformities. He enjoys treating all foot and ankle injuries utilizing non-surgical and surgical approaches.
Running and tennis are activities that Dr. Vaardahl especially enjoys as well as spending time with his wife and two sons. In addition, Dr. Vaardahl is the residency director for the podiatric medicine and surgery program at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. He is also heavily involved in committee work and as a representative for the profession on a national level. Dr. Vaardahl’s energy and compassion will help to solve your foot and ankle problems in a positive and productive way.
