Dr. Erik J. Thelander
Erik J. Thelander, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon proudly serving the greater Denver area. Dr. Thelander has been in private practice since 2002 and continues to provide high-quality, patient-centered care at Centennial Foot and Ankle Specialists in Aurora, Colorado.
A native of Jamestown, New York, Dr. Thelander began his path toward medicine at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology, he went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Thelander proceeded to pursue his surgical training during a two-year residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
He’s board-certified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery and has specialized training in the minimally invasive HyProCure® procedure for foot alignment.
Dr. Thelander is committed to providing patients with a professional, efficient, and pleasant experience. In addition to his skill and expertise, patients value Dr. Thelander for his friendly and helpful approach to medicine. He listens attentively to his patients’ concerns and makes sure they receive the best treatment.
Outside of podiatry, Dr. Thelander loves skiing, playing golf, motorcycling, and hiking with his spouse and two wonderful boys.
